Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a motivated engineering student for a summer 2025 internship position. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and committed to high-quality work performance. Must have excellent planning, organization, and communication skills, and can work with other staff in a project team environment. We are looking for support in our MI and OH offices.

Primary Functions
- Conducting research on potential development sites, including zoning regulations, environmental impact assessments, and land use planning.
- Assisting in the due diligence process to evaluate the feasibility of projects, which may involve gathering data and preparing reports.
- Collaborating with engineers and planners to develop site plans and design layouts for new developments.
- Utilizing AutoCAD for the creation of project designs and the production of final construction documentation.
- Maintaining project documentation, including reports, plans, and correspondence.
- Participating in site visits to assess conditions and gather information for ongoing projects.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Exposed to occasional lifting and carrying. Will have normal office working conditions and be required to sit and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and maneuvering around project sites. Able to use various technical equipment for communication and documentation. Visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities.
Desired Education/Licensure
Enrolled in a Civil Engineering program.
Desired Skills/Experience
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Relevant internship, co-op, or field experience is a plus.
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
