Overview

Ferrellgas is looking for a Financial Analyst position. Under general supervision this position performs a wide variety of functions to support the initiatives of the company. This position will collaborate with internal parties to support the department's ability to successfully provide meaningful analytics and reports, participate in research and documentation of reporting processes, while ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines. This position typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field and 1+ years analytical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides ad-hoc and recurring analytics derived from system databases to various users and departments.
  • Administers reporting system framework and data relationships to provide reporting users with needed data sources.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments and systems to obtain meaningful information for large analytical and reporting projects.
  • Works with team to develop and customize budget and forecasting tools to efficiently capture data that reflects corporate goals.
  • Integrates budget and actual data into various financial report views which are modified periodically and distributed regularly.
  • Supports Cognos report users in accessing, building, and troubleshooting reports.
  • Provides outstanding customer service to employees in all areas of the company.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 1+ years of strong financial analysis experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills, including Visual Basic macros.
  • Database relationship and model building experience, dimensional and relational.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
