The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Service Delivery or Senior IT Communication Specialist, this role will develop and provide marketing and communication planning, content, and resources for CUIMCIT. This position will design and deliver written communications, digital signage, presentations, posters, and signs; collaborate with project managers to plan project communication strategies; manage CUIMCIT's social media and web presence; manage outage and maintenance notifications; and utilize analytics and metrics to assess online engagement and success within a cycle of continuous improvement

This role will also have a hand in the integration of the Problem, Change and Knowledge Management process. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action

Responsibilities



  • Coordinate, write, edit, manage, and publish content for CUIMCIT websites
  • Collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, on all aspects of communication projects
  • Work with department colleagues and project managers to develop communication strategies for central IT projects
  • Execute communication plan items for CUIMC-IT
  • Collaborate to design and deliver both virtual and physical image content
  • Work with department customer relationship management team to produce and push scheduled CUIMC-IT communications
  • Assess engagement and value of CUIMCIT online content via analytics and established metrics within a cycle of continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent in education and experience.
* Minimum 3 years' related experience.
* Experience working with HTML SNOW, and Drupal.

Preferred Qualifications

* Proven ability to manage diverse projects simultaneously, with a large volume of detail and changing deadlines
* Analytical skills, critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
* Modeling skills, to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language, including using modeling languages already established in the development organization.
* Advanced skills in creating documentation, written and visual/diagrammatic preferred.

Other Requirements

* Experience planning, developing, and executing communications within a strategic project framework
* Experience planning and developing marketing promotions for products and services
* Experience with screen recording tools and Adobe Creative Suite applications
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Demonstrated ability to present and explain complex technical topics, problems, and alternative solutions to others
* Technical writing experience for communicating complex technical processes and systems for diverse audiences wit varying ranges of technical experience
* Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information
