Job Description

  • Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality.


  • Set-up and operate blow molding machines, and supporting equipment, according to product specifications and as scheduled, in a timely manner.


  • Conduct routine quality testing of product as specified.


  • Train for routine machine maintenance, and troubleshooting, to make repairs, as directed. To aid Production Supervisor as required and advise management of major problems.


  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) work to machine.


  • Responsible for printing and supplying correct parts labels for the product.


  • Schedule the supply of all raw materials, packaging materials, and supplies to the machine from the warehouse.


  • Ensure that quality standards are upheld and that any suspect or defective product is reported to be placed on hold for review and decision.


  • Fill in and relieve for other production floor positions as assigned.


  • Assist in the training of other personnel in proper maintenance, operation, and set-up of equipment according to approved company procedures.


  • Train on communication process, and material workflow, to aid in supply of all raw materials, packaging materials, and supplies from the warehouse to machine.


  • Accurately complete all documentation.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma. Secondary or technical schooling background in mechanics, engineering, or manufacturing preferred.

Experience: Experience in manufacturing environment, preferred experience in blow molding or plastics environment.

Specific Skills: Ability to read, interpret, and execute daily work using measuring tapes and product specifications, quality testing functions, and demonstration of machine mechanical aptitude.

Equipment & Machinery: Pallet jack, tow motor, hand tools, blow molding machines experience preferred.

Computer Experience & Software: Proficient computer skills, machine interface
