Your Role on the Team

Experienced professional able to work effectively as leader or member of a support team who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field. Incumbent possesses broad job knowledge, analyzes problems and finds solutions, and independently performs the full range of responsibilities of the position.
Reporting to unit Directors, incumbent uses skills and professional experience to administer the business operations of multiple independent units. Demonstrated success in time management, administration involving communications, personnel record management, financial transactions, and event management. Demonstrated ability to learn new skills, multi-task with associated deadlines, and adapt to challenges in a changing environment.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills.
  • Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as event planning, basic fundraising processes, risk management planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training

Preferred:

  • Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and / or personnel management.
