Join us as our new Sr. Research Associate or Associate Scientist!

We are seeking a results-oriented, innovative colleague to join our Bioenergy R&D team to develop near-term and future technologies.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Coordinating and executing experiments together with project team, ensuring that results, documentations and reporting of data meet a high-quality standard.

  • Collaborating internally and with customers to ensure our products align with commercial needs and expectations.

  • Serving on cross-functional product development teams, leading experiments, and communicating results.

  • Thinking outside the box to solve problems with an innovative and collaborative mindset.

  • Being adaptive to exciting and ever-changing industry processes and technologies.

To succeed you must hold:

  • MS + minimum 2 years of relevant experience or BS + minimum 5 years of relevant experience in biotech discipline

  • Project management experience/skill is required

  • Experience with Biochemistry laboratory equipment/practices or experience in ethanol industrial laboratory

  • Experience working with industrial enzymes and/or microbes preferred

  • Experience working in multifunctional teams and/or product development is desirable

  • Familiarity with automation, application-based screening, &/or assay development preferred

  • Experience with tools such as JMP, Tableau, and/or Python preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Location: Franklinton, NC (on-site)

Expected salary range: $70,000 - $90,000
