Radiation Therapist

Position Highlights:

• Position: Radiation Therapist - Oncology
• Location: Edward and Elmhurst Hospital - Cancer Center
• Full Time: 40 hours week
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm. No weekends or holidays

What you will need:

Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology Therapy) certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within one year of start date into position.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• Previous experience with Varian equipment
• Previous experience with ARIA EMR

What you will do:

• Simulates treatment set-ups, performs dosimetric calculation, and accurately delivers ionizing radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist while working under general supervision of the System Manager, Radiation Oncology.
• Assists in patient care and management. Adheres to clinical, technical and operational policies and procedures.
