Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Advanced Microscopy and Nuclear Materials Analysis Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in our Irradiated Fuels and Materials department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every Friday off. You will analyze data collected from advanced microscopies, including X-ray computed tomography (CT), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and atomic probe tomography (APT). You will focus on achieving a comprehensive understanding of nuclear materials through data analysis and interpretation to determine material performance and uncover the fundamental mechanisms of metallic fuels behavior, HT9 cladding materials' defect evolution, and fuel cladding chemical interaction phenomena under various irradiation conditions.
