Job Title: Azure Security Engineer

Location(s): Richmond, VA

Job Description:

The Azure Security Engineer will support the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Azure Security solutions for Food and Beverage's Threat Detection & Response (TDR) operations team. This includes working on projects to implement Azure security solutions and providing ongoing support for validation and continuously improved operations.

Responsibilities:


  • Security Architecture: Collaborate with Food and Beverage's Enterprise Security Architecture team to design and implement secure architectures for Azure-based applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Security Controls: Implement and optimize Azure-based security controls, including security incident & event management systems, Defender suite of security solutions, and access controls to protect against threats.
  • Threat Assessment: Identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the Azure environment.
  • Incident Response: Support the Food and Beverage Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) in responding to and handling potential security incidents.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Support the ongoing compliance of Azure security controls with Food and Beverage Hardening Standards and industry recommendations. Conduct regular audits and reviews to validate and optimize security posture.


Required Skills:


  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure security features and services.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Azure security tools and technologies, such as Sentinel, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for IoT, Purview, and InTune Conditional Access Policies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and Python.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical solutions to non-technical and executive audiences.


Desired Certifications (one or a combination):


  • Azure Security Engineer Associate.
  • Azure Security Engineer Expert.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
