Discover your exciting role

As a Lead Cleanroom Engineer, you will be responsible for
overseeing the design, construction, and validation of
cleanroom environments within a semiconductor fabrication
facility. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure that
the cleanroom systems meet stringent cleanliness and
contamination control standards critical for semiconductor
manufacturing. Your role will involve coordination with
construction teams, subcontractors, and other engineering
disciplines to achieve project milestones.


Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead the design and layout of cleanroom environments,
    including HVAC, filtration systems, pressurization, airflow
    patterns, and contamination control measures.
  • Oversee the cleanroom construction process, ensuring
    alignment with project schedules, budget constraints, and
    quality standards.
  • Work closely with construction teams, HVAC engineers,
    process engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the
    integration of cleanroom requirements into the overall facility
    design.
  • Develop and implement protocols for contamination
    prevention, including cleaning procedures, material handling,
    and personnel entry/exit processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians and
    ensure effective communication and coordination among
    cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and troubleshoot potential issues related to
    cleanroom performance, equipment installation, and construction
    deviations, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Ensure all design changes, specifications, validation
    reports, and compliance documentation are properly recorded and
    filed for regulatory and quality audits.
  • Mentors Interns and junior members of project teams
  • Participates in the development of office standards and
    procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Show your expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical,
    or related field).
  • 7+ years of experience in cleanroom design, construction,
    and validation, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of cleanroom systems including HVAC,
    filtration, airflow control, and contamination prevention.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and
    simulation tools for airflow and contamination control.
  • Certified Cleanroom Engineer (CCE) or similar
    certification.
  • Experience working with semiconductor fabs, foundries, or
    other high-tech manufacturing facilities.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and
    equipment integration.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and
    project scheduling tools.
  • Time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to
    details
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a strong team player with an ability to build
    effective working relationships with individuals, department
    leads, and client representatives
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff
  • Works to build and maintain positive and productive working
    relationships both internal and external
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
