Careers Civil Designer Huntsville, Alabama Garver is seeking a Civil Designeror CAD Technicianfor ourHuntsville, Alabama office to assist in planning, design, and construction documents development on a variety of transportation and general civil engineering projects. Additional assignments may involve conceptual/preliminary site layouts, quantity computations, cost estimates, multi-discipline coordination, and as-built drawings. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent An Associate's degree or higher in drafting, design, or surveying, or combination of relevant coursework and drafting experience 1+ years of related drafting experience in roadway or highway projects 1+ years experience with OpenRoads Excellent organization and communication skills Understanding and application of drafting methods, standards, and procedures Working knowledge of drafting/design software and MS Office Products Preferred Skills 3+ years experience with OpenRoads or similar programs Willingness to travel periodically and as needed in the course of execution of projects Grow With Us Garver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
