What this job involves: The Manager, Marketing Operations plays a key role in driving operational excellence within the marketing function, optimizing processes and bringing efficiencies that are strategic, data driven and cross-collaborative. This role will focus specifically on supporting the finance strategy, reporting and processes across the Global Marketing organization. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Marketing Operations under the leadership of the Global Head of Marketing Operations. Responsibilities - what your day-to-day will look like: Maintain a holistic view and understanding of the Marketing organization, priorities and programs. Collaborate with business, field, COE and the executive office of the marketing organization to help guide/influence the maintenance of their individual budgets, identifying budgetary issues, reports on spend activity, anticipate impacts, and resolve issues. Drive the yearly budget cycle (through planning, implementation, monthly reporting to 6+6) across the Marketing organization. Partner closely with Finance to report and analyze marketing spend with the ability to provide real-time updates on all categories of the marketing investment envelope (C&B, program, T&E, professional fees, etc.). Partner closely with our Marketing Operations Hub in JBS - giving guidance and directions on best practices, help to trouble-shoot issues and create efficiencies. Build, implement and constantly improve processes for the management of marketing finances and connections to JBS, finance partners, accounts payable, vendors, etc. Provide coaching/training for marketing employees in financial procedures and reporting accuracy to help them comply with standards. In partnership with the marketing operations team as well as procurement and finance, support vendor onboarding, purchasing, contract execution, accruals, amortizations, and invoicing for program and budget owners. Desired or preferred experience and technical skills: BA/BS degree 5+ years relevant experience, with marketing, operations, finance, or analytics experience preferred Ability to take initiative, work flexibly, and collaborate with cross-functional partners Experience working with data analysis, process documentation, purchase agreements, statements of work and master service agreements Team player with ability to see the big picture and prioritize requests, ensuring quality without compromising goals Detailed, organized, and results oriented Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment Ability to collaborate across time zones for global needs Proven research, analytical and data visualization skills with the ability to interpret results and formulate solutions Experience with the following (or comparable) tools: Excel, PeopleSoft Finance, Allocadia, Tableau, Smartsheets Project management skills/background a plus. Ability to plan and execute projects of varying timeframes and scope with minimal guidance Prior knowledge of commercial real estate a plus Prior experience with marketing/creative firms a plus What you can expect from us We're an entrepreneurial, inclusive culture.
