Job Summary This position works with guidance from the supervisor to prepare and present routine reports and occasionally lead routine problem-solving efforts. The position will maintain effective working relationships with others. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Plant Operations: Monitor and analyze plant performance, ensuring compliance with operational standards and regulations. Maintenance Management: Develop and oversee maintenance schedules for equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operation. Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and output. Environmental Compliance: Ensure the plant meets environmental regulations related to emissions, waste management, and water usage. Safety Protocols: Promote and enforce safety practices within the plant to protect personnel and equipment. Technical Support: Provide engineering support for troubleshooting and resolving operational issues. Project Management: Lead or participate in projects related to plant upgrades, retrofitting, or new technology implementation. Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, operators, and management to achieve operational goals. Reporting: Prepare and present reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and compliance status. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in power plant operations, particularly in coal-fired systems, is preferred. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and combustion processes. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
