Here's your chance to work with a well-established hometown bank as a Mortgage Loan Originator! You'll have the opportunity to start the residential mortgage process and ensure mortgage loan applications are ready to go! Our Wisconsin Rapids client is looking for candidates with at least 3 years of mortgage loan, sales or related experience. Responsibilities include:
- Meeting with and interviewing potential and current members regarding lending needs (ex. First mortgages, refinancing) & explaining approval requirements of various types of mortgages
- Assisting members with completion of mortgage applications
- Reviewing loan applications, gathering credit histories and reports, and assessing applications capacity to repay
- Keeping members and relevant parties up to date on loan application status; attending closings as needed
- Identifying opportunities to cross-sell and educating members on various bank products which could benefit their situation
- Maintaining relationships with existing members including following up after closings
- Maintaining knowledge of trends and developments in local real estate market, lending rates, and changes in mortgage rules and regulations
- Developing and maintaining contacts with contacts with local realtors, developers and builders
- Working with mortgage staff members to assist with submitting loans to processing, underwriting and closing
- Ensuring compliance with applicable policies, laws & regulations
This is a full time opportunity, typical working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Will work between two locations in the Wisconsin Rapids area. Pay is negotiable based on experience. Our client offers a full benefits package including health, life and dental insurance and 401K.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in mortgage loan, sales, or related; experience with FNMA, FHLMC, Jumbo, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM mortgage loan origination is also required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Business Administration or related field.
- NMLS and State Licensing Required: Incumbents are required to maintain their registration active, and current, with the National Mortgage Licensing System throughout their employment
- Must maintain active registration National Mortgage Licensing System
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
