Position Title: Forklift Operator
Wage: $16.85-$17.05/hour Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, A, B, C Hours: 1st 6am-6pm Monday-Thursday 2nd 5:30pm-5:30am Tuesday-Friday 3rd 6am-6pm Friday/Saturday-6am Sunday/Monday-5:30pm A 6am-6pm Monday-Thursday B 5:30pm-5:30am Tuesday-Friday C 6am-6pm Friday/Saturday-6am Sunday-Monday 5:30pm This union automotive manufacturing company needs experienced and safety-driven Forklift Operators in the North Kansas City area. Must be OK with working 12-hour shifts. 1st and 2nd shift hours are available. Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Obtain forklift license and certification on first day on sit-down forklift - Operate Hilo truck - Move merchandise to storage, properly documenting locations and/or scanning locations and product - Operate forklift in a safe manner - Ensure implementation of quality and safety procedures - Work with other associates to set up machine and stack, pack, mark and transport finished items - Maintain clean and orderly work area Forklift Operator Requirements: - Regularly lift up to 35lbs - Able to sit or stand for entire shift - Must be able to reach and grab with hands and arms - Must be able to grasp steering wheel and controls for the entire shift - Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel as needed - Previous forklift experience - Previous exposure to warehouse environment preferred - Accuracy and attention to detail - Must have good eye and hand coordination - Previous experience in automotive or electrical assembly a plus QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
