YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Quality Assurance position located in our Processing Plant facility. The Quality Assurance Technician assists in maintaining good manufacturing practices (GMP), ensures product specifications are met, and assists in maintaining the overall food safety of product.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Maintaining accurate records to assure consistency of product quality, compliance to regulatory agency requirements and documentation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) process.
  • Maintaining accurate records regarding product/process capabilities, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) situation and HACCP.
  • Monitoring (GMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Critical Control Points (CCP's).

QUALIFICATIONS



  • Has earned a two year or higher college degree is preferred. One or more years' experience in meat processing, or closely related industry is preferred.
  • Has the ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
