We are seeking a talented Sr. Human Resources Business Associate to join our manufacturing plant in Covington, Georgia. The Sr. Human Resources Business Associate at General Mills is responsible for leading the execution of key HR initiatives. Candidates should have considerable knowledge of Human Resource principles and practices, including but not limited to; Talent Management, Compensation, Data Insights and Project Management.

General Mills Covington Plant is a high performing, non-union facility with 475 employees that serves the Cereal and Snacks businesses by making food people love. Our 4-crew high performance work system enables our Technician team members to autonomously operate, troubleshoot, maintain, rebuild and clean their systems. The Covington plant is an important part of the North America Retail (NAR) network because of the products we produce.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • HR Business Partner for functional client groups
  • Partner with HR Manager and leadership in strategy development and execution
  • Lead initiatives around annual process management (e.g. performance management cycle), workforce planning, diversity & inclusion, etc.
  • Support the plant's ongoing culture and performance improvement strategies
  • Create a positive employee relations environment through close engagement and interaction with all employees across the site

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in ANY major; Bachelor's in Human Resources Management or Business preferred
  • At least 3 years of related work experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft based applications; with a willingness to learn and master other software programs as needed
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to lead and manage projects independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or MBA preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • 1-3 years of direct experience as an organizational practitioner of Continuous Improvement methods & processes preferred
  • Experience with high performance manufacturing team systems
  • Proven experience working within a global function/matrix highly desired
  • Strong data & analytics orientation; translate data into recommendations and take appropriate action to achieve desired business results

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $79500.00 - $119400.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Beyond base salary, General Mills offers a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall well-being.
