Introduction to the job

The Supply Chain Quality Engineering Manager is responsible for Wilton Buy parts quality issues impacting Wilton factory, other ASML factories and end customers. Focus of the work is on solving supplier technical issues and driving supplier technical process improvements (quality and yield improvements, process control, cycle time reduction, risk analysis and risk reduction). They also contribute to Sustainable & Re-Use initiatives by reducing scrap and improving reuse coverage and cost. He/she is responsible for managing team of Supply Chain Engineers.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead team's analysis of material Quality issues through structural problem solving processes (DMAIC, 8D) and drive technical solutions during material escalations (MN's, DN's, AIR, FAR)

  • Be a strong leader and standout colleague, collaborating with Production Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Engineering, external suppliers and Supplier Account Teams (Quality Supplier Managers, Logistics Supplier Managers, Account Lead, Operations Supplier Coordinators, Buyers)

  • Lead Quality Notification reviews that include status of issues, provide direction and support as needed

  • Drive closure on quality notifications and quality deep dives

  • Contribute to supplier development (e.g. implementing SPC, lean, FMEA, operational excellence at suppliers or n-tier suppliers), understand the needs of supplier and ASML and drive internal supplier changes to align

  • Influence supplier quality initiatives in pursuit of Quality Up & Cost down

  • Excellent communicator, able to chair daily stand up meetings, quality deep dives and other forums with large multi-functional teams and executives

  • Support Internal, ISO & Customer audits as needed

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/ Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Science or related field and 10 years of relevant experience or 12+ years of industry experience in lieu of education.

  • Experience in managing and coaching of professionals in a production/operations environment

  • Proven line management track record in high tech, automotive, medical device, aerospace, process industry or equivalent

  • Operational Management of Supply chain and/or manufacturing functions in one of the above mentioned industries

  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic relations with factory teams and/or external suppliers

  • Strong analytical skills, process oriented, business sense and capability to develop vision and strategy

  • Excellent communication skills, interfacing and convincing on all levels

  • People Development skills and leadership

  • Drive for solutions, result oriented, hands-on mentality

  • Pro-active, act under high pressure and thinking out of the box

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
