Purpose of Position

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for engineering teams and contribute to the definition, design, development, integration, test and documentation of the product and its features in alignment with established technology and architectural standards.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams like architecture, infrastructure operations, cyber security, and others to implement architectures that encompass broad perspectives and requirements.
  • Coach & mentor junior and emerging product team members so they can all leverage software engineering best practices to ensure high standard of quality for all the team deliverables.
  • Automate build, test, and deploy code and build pipelines
  • Build testing automation and associated processes (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into the software product.
  • Work in a agile team environment to iteratively delivery value.
Education
Bachelor's in Information Technology or Computer Science

  • Previous work experience as Software engineer of 6-8 years' experience is required. Must demonstrated ability and experience to work independently, leading and/or mentoring junior technical professionals.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Javascript, Java, Typescript
  • AWS Serverless, AWS Lambdas, step functions, S3 and AppSync
  • Kafka, EKS
  • NoSQL & SQL databases (DynamoDB, Oracle)
  • DevOps (Jenkins, CDK)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies.
