Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Prevention Services and the SOR Prevention Program Director, the part time Prevention Facilitator is responsible for working with children and families across children's aid centers, and the community to deliver Evidenced Based Programs (EBP's). The Prevention Facilitator will facilitate all prescribed Evidence-Based Programs (EBPs) such as the Positive Parenting Program ( Triple P), Strengthening Families Program (SFP), Teen Intervene, and other assigned EBP's in the community.

Essential Duties

* Facilitate Evidence-Based Programs (EBP)

* Ability to work in schools, centers and the community.

* Recruit and retain youth and families for prevention services.

* Plan and prepare lesson plans for both evidence-based and non-evidence-based programs.

* Support and provide services to at-risk youth.

* Provide referrals for individual counseling and make referrals as needed.

* Maintain accurate and complete records for programs and projects

* Administer pre- and post-test evaluations

* Utilize all prevention program data bases.

* Prepare all reports.

* Create and deliver presentations to community agencies, schools, and other stakeholders regarding prevention services.

* Provide prevention information at local health fairs and community events

* Adhere to the policies and procedures of Children's Aid

* Perform other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma Required

* 2 years of Facilitation Experience Required

* Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP) Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPS) Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), or 250 hours Preferred.

* 1-2 experience working with children and families Required

Key Competencies:

* Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office

* Bachelor's degree Preferred
