The Lead Engineer, Instrumentation & Controls participates in a
team environment consisting of engineers and designers to
produce construction documents for the following systems:
Instrumentation and Controls, telecommunications, fire alarm,
and security.



Explore your tasks and responsibilities


  • Performs the engineering tasks for the design of technology
    systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms,
    general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional
  • Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies
    and design for staff's specific area of expertise
  • Coordinates with the project team and other disciplines as
    well as other design offices
  • Develops the conceptual design, preliminary design and
    final design documents which would include the development of
    technology schematic diagrams, technology equipment layout,
    cable routing, details, and the like
  • Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies
    and design for staff's specific area of expertise
  • Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and
    development of the deliverables and ensuring those other
    disciplines' inputs are incorporated
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design
    for staff's specific area of expertise
  • Assists in developing studies and design procedures to
    facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team
  • Works to build and maintain positive and productive working
    relationships both internal and external
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Show your expertise

  • 8+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
  • General knowledge of codes and common industry standards
    related to the design of industrial and manufacturing
    facilities and systems
  • Good time management skills, strong work ethic and
    attention to details
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk Building Systems Software
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Individual must possess strong communication and
    organizational skills
  • Strong team player with an ability to build effective
    working relationships
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products
