HVAC Technician Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes Provide estimates for repair and replacement of HVAC equipment Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used Respond to emergency service calls as needed Communicate effectively with clients and team members Stay updated on new HVAC technologies and best practices
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship program or vocational training Valid HVAC certification (e.g., EPA Section 608 Certification) 2+ years of experience in HVAC installation and repair Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and refrigeration Proficiency in using various HVAC tools and testing equipment Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in confined spaces and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights Capable of working in various weather conditions Able to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods Possess manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment
Work Schedule: Full-time position with potential for overtime, weekend, and on-call work as needed.
