Overview

Seeking an SAP Solution Analyst for a U.S. Army client to support the development of integrated technical and application architecture for an ERP Modernization program that is implementing using a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Solution Train approach. The SAP Solution Analyst will provide support the solution architects on the program, providing technical implementation support, requirements analysis, and solution assessments. This individual should have awareness of SAP best practices, ERP implementation activities, and be experienced in coordinating with senior technical team members.

NOTE: Liberal telework will be acceptable. This position can be supported remotely. If the candidate is local, they will be on site Tuesday of each week at Fort Belvoir, VA. The team member will have occasional requirements to visit client offices at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, or other sites for conferences.



Responsibilities

    Responsible for providing input into key deliverables and work products in support of the major software development and acquisition milestones for the program.
  • Support successful completion of SAFe continuous delivery pipeline deliverables.
  • Develop and present courses of action that are executable.
  • Technical Implementation and Support
    • Review key configuration components of the ERP Modernization program using SAFe methodology.
    • Collaborate with other Solution Architects to translate high-level architectural designs into detailed technical specifications.
    • Assist with development and maintenance of system documentation, including technical designs, integration plans, and user guides.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations on specific system components and integration points.
    • Graphically represent complex technical concepts in concert with other solution architects that support discussion with internal team members and explain technical concepts to Army leadership.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Participate in SAFe Pre-Planning Interval and Planning Interval events, providing technical input and feasibility assessments.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines.
    • Support and review fit gap analyses to align current capabilities to selected solution based on out of the box functionality for S/4 HANA and other selected tools.
    • Identify and promote best practices for data modeling, data quality and data cleansing
  • Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving
    • Validate and verify that the team is reducing technical debt and that software development is aligned appropriately to emerging technologies.
    • Assist in troubleshooting complex issues, focusing on specific SAP modules and integrated systems.
    • Contribute to the development of the architectural runway by supporting implementation and testing of new technologies.
  • Requirements Analysis and Development
    • Support and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams, converging systems, trading partners, analysts, and vendors to inform the optimal architecture and translation of functional requirements into executable set of materials for the technical integration provider (TIP).
    • Break down high-level Epics and Features into detailed technical User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Solution Assessment and Implementation
    • Assess proposed solutions to provide feedback and recommendations regarding use of SaaS, API Management, and Low Code solutions.
    • Review solution compliance with federal government regulations at the system level.
    • Review and provide input to test plans to ensure system quality and performance.
    • Perform analysis of metrics within the program to identify risks, issues, or recommendations for new metrics.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance Required
  • Ability to quickly interpret and quickly analyze input, processes, and documentation and summarize for use by team members and leaders.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • 6+ years of relevant consulting work experience including designing and implementing SAP configuration changes in US Federal or regulated industries
  • Awareness of the SAP S/4 HANA roadmap and innovations in upcoming SAP HANA releases
  • Business process knowledge that spans Financial, Supply Chain, Inventory Management for the US Federal Government
  • Experience in System Development Lifecyle for a large software implementation
  • Federal Government process experience
  • Self-directed, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Understanding of SaaS software capabilities such as Service Now and Salesforce.
  • High level understanding of post-modern ERP architecture.
  • SAFe or Agile certification(s).

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • 8+ years experience with modernizing ERP systems.
  • Experience with Defense Business Systems or software/system development projects.
  • S/4 HANA Certifications and/or SAP Certifications.
  • Expertise in SAP ECC Background in at least 3 processes or module (e.g., Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, FI, SD, MM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) .
  • Familiarity with Process modelling tools such as Visio, ARIS, Mindmapping, etc.
  • Familiarity with composable ERPs.
  • SIPR/High side experience.

The salary range for this position is $135,000-$160,000
