The position is a manager on the Epic EMR leadership team. Responsible for project planning leadership and management for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) clinical applications. Maintains software certification and leads teams to derive cross-functional business strategy solutions to support business and clinical functions. Oversees team in establishing and conducting structure pre and post live application optimization. Identifies workflow improvements and opportunities and resolves issues to maximize effective use of the systems and applications. Ensures systems-wide adherence and governance of the EMR application across all specialties. Ability to translate visionary concepts into well defined documented technical requirements and present solutions with cost analysis to management and governance teams. This position requires the ability to communicate with various stakeholders and leaders in operations in order to meet requirements in the clinical care delivery setting revenue cycle management and IT. Ability to work with and coordinate efforts with multiple departments in order to support the organizational goals for quality across all required systems in support of EMR requirements. Manages analysts who support the EMR application.
Education: BA or BS required Masters preferred Experience: 5 or more years of Clinical Informatics or Technical experience Evidence of formal or informal leadership. Licensure: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
