Position description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Davis Health System seeks to recruit three full-time Academic Generalist Obstetrician/Gynecologists. The positions will be recruited at the Assistant or Associate Health Sciences Clinical Professor series based on experience and qualifications. Selected individuals will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching, research and university service.

Incumbents will be responsible for direct patient care in general obstetrics and gynecology as part of an academic generalist group within the Department, the University Women's Health (UWH) group currently consists of 15 faculty members.

Clinical responsibilities will also include a daytime laborist on labor and delivery in coordination with other members of UWH, obstetrical night call in-house (consistent with the Compensation Plan) and at-home gynecology call in rotation with other gynecologic specialties in the department. Candidates will be expected to directly work with residents and medical students in labor and delivery, the operating room and the inpatient wards for any admitted patients as the attending physician. Additional work within the resident or medical student curriculum is highly encouraged, when possible. The positions will require frequent committee work and collaboration within the University system.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O., have completed or currently in the last year of a residency, in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have experience in general Ob/Gyn. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Candidates must have or be able to obtain a CA Medical License.
