Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our talented Professional Services team. The successful candidate must have proven, hands-on, successful experience in project planning and management and demonstrated ability to provide guidance and supervision to project management tasks. The candidate will be assisting the Senior Project Manager with overall coordination and project management, stakeholders and communications management, risk management, vendor management as well as assisting with several strategic initiatives. The candidate is to demonstrate ability to control schedule, resources, and project funds and demonstrates written and oral communication skills.

This individual MUST be able to go onsite to Bethesda, MD 1-3 times a week.

Responsibilities

    Responsible for performing day-to-day management of assigned projects that involve teams of data processing, information system, and management professionals
  • Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned projects
  • Supports members of assigned project teams
  • Review, analyze monthly financials and collaborate with stakeholders in a timely manner to obtain approval
  • Providing decision support through data gathering, information analysis of spending against available funding and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders
  • Put together dashboards summarizing the status of project spending, risks, and other milestones across all the programs/projects within the group
  • Collaborate with team and other project managers to achieve organizational goals
  • Serving as a trusted advisor for Senior Project Manager - Attending meetings, making decisions (when appropriate) and managing critical relationships in lieu of Senior Project Manager
  • Duties may include managing, facilitating and tracking activities within and across projects and programs; maintaining standards, processes, tools, and templates, assisting project team members in performing tasks effectively and efficiently and meeting facilitation
  • Prepares and presents status on project schedule, project costs, project deliverables, project issues and risks, and issue resolution and risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with team and other project managers to achieve organizational goals
  • Provide guidance and mentor junior team members as needed


Qualifications

Required
* PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification. Five (5) years of successful project management experience with increasing responsibilities in the specific project domain may be substituted for the PMI certification
* A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or Associate's Degree with Five years of relevant experience
* 5 years of demonstrated experience in a project management or coordination capacity
* Experience in driving process improvements throughout the project life cycle within organizational frameworks
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams daily
* Strong leadership as well as oral and written communication skills is required
* Developed problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
* Excellent presentation & communication skills in both oral and written form
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Genuine desire to learn is essential
* Must be able to maintain government eligibility requirements

Preferred
* PMP Certification
* Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI
* Proficient in MS Visio
* Familiarity with Agile Project Management and IT Software Development life cycle (SDLC)
* Data Analytical skills
* This is a W-2, Full-Time, Remote position.
