Will assist in instructional activities and supervision of students in a structured learning environment and will support students in a regular education class. Will assist staff with proctoring assessments and providing instructional support. May be working with students in small groups or on an individual basis. Will support other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.
Qualifications 1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Dependable driving and work record a must. 3. Positive and friendly work attitude. 4. Must have DPI Spec. Ed. Program Aide certification or be willing to become certified at your own expense. 5. Red Cross First Aid and CPR certified, or willing to take class. 6. Must be able to work flexible hours. 7. Be knowledgeable and physically capable of lifting/restraining students weighing up to 80 pounds. 8. Ability to get along and communicate well with staff, students, and parents. 9. Good oral and written communication skills. 10. Ability to use computer equipment and other assistive technology devices. 11. Ability to work with a minimum of supervision. 12. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
