We are Systems, LLCa leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. Wecontinue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

This is a role within Systems' Customer Experience and Technical Support group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Directly supervise Technical Services personnel; prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and (ii) Responsible for approving timesheets, approving/tracking time off requests, and completing performance evaluations for direct reports. Requires 5+ years of related experience, 2+ years of supervisory experience and a minimum of a Technical school or associate's degree.

Technical Services Supervisor Overview:

  • Directly supervise Technical Services personnel; prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments

  • Responsible for approving timesheets, approving/tracking time off requests, and completing performance evaluations for direct reports.

  • Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required paperwork, documentation, file, record, etc

  • Develop improved processes and methods to increase departmental productivity

  • Facilitate training sessions for subcontractors, dealers, customers, etc

  • Promote safe practices regarding the operation, installation, and repair of products

  • Demonstrate leadership and shows ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company

  • Ensure proper staffing to maintain phone and email queue

  • Responsible for all technical writing including owner's manuals, TS Bulletins, ECNs etc

  • Participate in discovery for legal issues as needed

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members

  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company's policies

  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications

  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CGI mission, vision and values.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

Technical Services Supervisor Qualifications

  • Technical school or associate's degree

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience Ability to train and educate customers and products and related support

  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering and layout drawings (CA, Curb angle, pit layouts, VS, Centrapower, Railramps, Yardramps)

  • Ability to understand regional/territory layouts and inter-brand structure

  • Strong computer software skills and ability to use spreadsheets, databases, word processing applications, email, ERP System, IOT etc. daily with efficiency

  • Excellent communication skills- verbal, telephone, in-person and written

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals, bulletins and other specifications

  • Understanding of electronics, electrical field wiring and control wiring

  • Ability to travel to customer sites 10% of the time

  • Valid driver's license with good record

  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, Experience with a loading dock manufacturer, Basic welding knowledge
